Umi-no-hi, or Marine Day, is one of the national holidays in Japan.According to the national holidays law, this holiday is observed to boost people’s awareness of the benefits of the sea and making a wish for the prosperity of maritime nation Japan.
Originally, Umi-no-hi was a memorial day called ” Umi-no-kinen-bi”,but it came to a national holiday called ” Umi-no-hi” in 1996.

Magandang gabi, Leonor. You know I always love your words for the pictures you post and the humor you show when you reply to the comments. I love the phrase “Japanese Marines maybe during World War they fought bravely for your country” the most this time. And of course they did a lot of harm to the innocent Philippine poeple, di ba?
